李彦韬，太原人。
旧五代史卷八十八（晋书） 列传三：
李彦韬，太原人也。少事邢州节度使阎宝为皂隶，宝卒，高祖收于帐下。及起义，以少帝留守北京，因留彦韬为腹心。历客将、牙门都校，以纤巧故，厚承委用。及少帝嗣位，授蔡州刺史，入为内客省使、宣徽南院使。未几，遥领寿州节度，充侍卫马军都指挥使、检校太保，俄改陈州节度使，典军如故。每在帝侧，升除将相，但与宦官近臣缔结，致外情不通，陷君于危亡之地。尝谓人曰：“朝廷所设文官将何用也。”且欲澄汰而除废之，则可知其辅弼之道也。及契丹犯阙，迁少帝于开封府。一日，少帝遣人急召彦韬，将与计事，彦韬辞不赴命，少帝怏恨久之，其负国辜君也如是。及少帝北迁，戎王遣彦韬从行，洎至蕃中，隶于国母帐下。永康王举兵攻国母，以伟王为前锋，国母发兵拒之，以彦韬为排阵使，彦韬降于伟王，伟王置之帐下，其后卒于幽州。
