李延实，字禧，陇西人，尚书仆射冲之长子。性温良，少为太子舍人。世宗初，袭父爵清泉县侯。累迁左将军、光州刺史，庄帝即位，以元舅之尊，超授侍中、太保，封濮阳郡王。延实以太保犯祖讳，又以王爵非庶姓所宜，抗表固辞。徒封濮阳郡公，改授太傅。寻转司徒公，出为使持节、侍中、太傅、录尚书事、青州刺史。尔朱兆入洛，乘舆幽絷，以延实外戚，见害于州馆。出帝初，归葬洛阳。赠使持节、侍中、太师、太尉公、录尚书事、都督、雍州刺史、谥曰孝懿。
长子彧，字子文，尚庄帝姊丰亭公主。封东平郡公，位侍中、左光禄大夫、中书监、骠骑大将军、开府仪同三司、广州刺史。彧任侠交游，轻薄无行。尔朱荣之死也，武毅之士皆彧所进。孝静初，以罪弃市。
