李守素，赵州人。
旧唐书卷七十二 列传第二十二：
李守素者，赵州人，代为山东名族。太宗平王世充，征为文学馆学士，署天策府仓曹参军。守素尤工谱学，自晋宋已降，四海士流及诸勋贵华戎阀阅，莫不详究，当时号为"行谱"。尝与虞世南共谈人物，言江左、山东，世南犹相酬对；及言北地诸侯，次第如流，显其世业，皆有援证，世南但抚掌而笑，不复能答，叹曰："行谱定可畏。"许敬宗因谓世南曰："李仓曹以善谈人物，乃得此名，虽为美事，然非雅目。公既言成准的，宜当有以改之。"世南曰："昔任彦升美谈经籍，梁代称为'五经笥'；今目仓曹为'人物志'可矣。"贞观初卒。
