李因笃，字天生，富平人。明庠生。博学强记，贯串注疏。举博学鸿儒，试授检讨。未逾月，以母老乞养，诏许之。母殁，仍不出。因笃深於经学，著诗说，顾炎武称之曰：“毛、郑有嗣音矣！”又著春秋说，汪琬亦折服焉。
