旧五代史卷七十（唐书） 列传二十二：
李仁矩，本明宗在藩镇时客将也。明宗即位，录其趋走之劳，擢居内职，复为安重诲所庇，故数年之间，迁为客省使、左卫大将军。天成中，因奉使东川，董璋张筵以召之，仁矩贪于馆舍，与倡妓酣饮，日既中而不至，大为璋所诟辱，自是深衔之。长兴初，璋既跋扈于东川，重诲奏以仁矩为阆州节度使，俾伺璋之反状，时物议以为不可。及仁矩至镇，侦璋所为，曲形奏报，地里遐僻，朝廷莫知事实，激成璋之逆节，由仁矩也。长兴元年冬十月，璋自率凶党，以攻其城。仁矩召军校谋守战利害，皆曰：“璋久图反计，以赂诱士心，凶气方盛，未可与战，宜坚壁以守之。傥旬浃之间，大军东至，即贼必退。”仁矩曰：“蜀兵懦，安能当我精甲！”即驱之出战，兵未交，为贼所败。既而城陷，仁矩被擒，举族为璋所害。
