方锐，世宗孝烈皇后父也，应天人。后初为九嫔，锐授锦衣正千户。嘉靖十三年，张后废，后由妃册为皇后，迁锐都指挥使。扈跸南巡，道拜左都督。既封安平伯，寻进封侯。卒，子承裕嗣。隆庆元年用主事郭谏臣言，罢袭。
