法，字伯通。官四川都司断事。诸司表贺成祖登极，当署名，不肯，投笔出。被逮，次望江，瞻拜乡里曰：“得望我先人庐舍足矣。”自沉于江。
成祖既杀孝孺，以草诏属侍读楼琏。琏，金华人，尝从宋濂学。承命不敢辞。归语妻子曰：“我固甘死，正恐累汝辈耳。”其夕，遂自经。或曰草诏乃括苍王景，或曰无锡王达云。
