天章，字麟郊，江苏上元人。诸生。好学强记，尤精於医。所著伤寒、杂病诸书，及咳论注、疟论注、广瘟疫论，凡十馀种。其论瘟疫，一宗有性之说。谓瘟疫之异於伤寒，尤慎辨於见证之始。辨气、辨色、辨舌、辨神、辨脉，益加详焉。为人疗病，不受谢。子瀚，成雍正元年一甲第二名进士。
