戴兆笨，安徽旌德人。少从父业缝纫，十三丧母，尽礼，事后母如母。父病噎，亦减饮食，百方疗父，不得，则刲肱糜以进，终不愈。恸甚，庐墓侧，朝夕稽颡。时归省后母，呼妻出，戒以善侍养，不入其室。
