清史稿卷二百五十 列传三十七：
弟秉义，字彦和，举康熙十二年进士第三，授编修，迁右中允。乞假归。乾学卒，召补原官。累迁吏部侍郎。命偕刑部侍郎绥色克如陕西，谳粮盐道黄明受贿，拟罪失当，左迁詹事。擢内阅学士，乞归。上南巡，赐御书“恭谨老成”榜额。五十年，卒。
