徐文靖，当涂人。
清史稿卷四百八十五 列传二百七十二：
徐文靖，字位山，当涂人。父章达，以孝义称乡里。文靖务古学，无所不窥。著述甚富，皆援据经史。雍正改元，年五十七，始举江南乡试。侍郎黄叔琳典试还朝，以得三不朽士自矜，盖指文靖及任启运、陈祖范也。乾隆改元，试鸿博，不遇。詹事张鹏翀以所著山河两戒考、管城硕记进呈，赐国子监学正。十七年，徵经学，入都。会开万寿恩科，遂与试，年八十六，以老寿赐检讨，给假归。卒，年九十馀。其所著又有周易拾遗、禹贡会笺、竹书统笺诸书。
