清史稿卷五百二 列传二百八十九：
徐彬，字忠可，浙江嘉兴人。昌之弟子。著伤寒一百十三方发明及金匮要略论注，其说皆本於昌。四库著录金匮要略，即用彬论注本。凡疏释正义，见於注；或賸义及总括诸证不可专属者，见於论。彬谓：“他方书出於凑集，就采一条，时亦获验。若金匮之妙，统观一卷，全体方具。不独察其所用，并须察其所不用。”世以为笃论。
