宋史卷三百四十六 列传第一百五：
汝霖字岩老。第进士，以曾布荐，为秘书丞，擢殿中侍御史，由是附布。时绍述之论复兴，都水丞李夷行乞复诗赋，汝霖劾之。韩忠彦议权合祭，汝霖言其非礼。迁侍御史。门下侍郎李清臣与布异，布先讽江公望使击之，将处以谏议大夫，公望弗听。汝霖竟逐清臣，果得谏议。
鞫赵谂反狱，穷其党与。元祐祸再兴，吴材、王能甫排斥不已，汝霖言："诸人罪状，已经绍圣出削，案籍具在，但可据以行，不必候指名弹击。"于是司马光以下复贬。布失位，汝霖罢知泰州，又谪濮州团练副使。后以显谟阁待制卒。
