宋史卷三百四十六 列传第一百五：
汝方字宜老。以汝砺荫为荥阳尉、临城主簿。汝砺卒，弃官归葬。丰稷留守南京，辟司录。宣和初，通判衢州，使者疏其治状，擢知州事。
方腊起睦之青溪，与衢接境。寇至，无兵可御，众望风奔溃。汝方独与其僚段约介守孤城，三日而陷，骂贼以死，年六十六。徽宗褒叹之，超赠龙图阁直学士、通议大夫，谥曰忠毅，官其家七人。
