张鳞，浙江长兴人。
清史稿卷三百七十六 列传一百六十三：
张鳞，字小轩，浙江长兴人。嘉庆四年进士，选庶吉士。习国书，授检讨。仁宗临幸翰林院，鳞献诗册，被恩赉。十七年，大考二等，迁赞善。历侍讲、庶子。二十年，选翰林官入直懋勤殿，纂辑秘殿珠林、石渠宝笈，鳞与焉。历侍讲学士、国子监祭酒。二十四年，典江西乡试。寻以斋戒未至斋所，降授太常寺少卿。迁通政使司副使、太仆寺卿。道光元年，命偕太常寺少卿明安泰赴杨村挑验剥船，遂赴东光、卢龙两县讯鞫京控狱，各论如律；并劾承审官滥刑，巡道徇庇，褫黜有差。三年，转太常寺卿，督安徽学政，擢内阁学士。七年，以继母忧归，服阕，补原官。擢兵部侍郎，督福建学政。十三年，补户部，又调吏部。福建县丞秦师韩控讦总督程祖洛，侍郎赵盛奎偕鳞同案鞫，白其诬，师韩遣戍。
鳞清廉俭素，杜绝干谒。两为学政，卻陋规，拔寒畯，闽人尤颂之。衡文力矫通榜之习。十五年，典会试，以校阅劳致疾，出闱，卒。福建士民请祀名宦祠。
