张道源，并州祁人。
旧唐书卷一百八十七上 列传第一百三十七：
张道源，并州祁人也。年十五，父死，居丧以孝行称，县令郭湛改其所居为复礼乡至孝里。道源尝与友人客游，友人病，中宵而卒，道源恐惊扰主人，遂共尸卧，达曙方哭，亲步营送，至其本乡里。高祖举义，召授大将军府户曹参军。及平京城，遣道源抚慰山东，燕、赵之地争来款附。高祖下书褒美，累封范阳郡公，后拜大理卿。时何稠、士澄有罪，家口籍没，仍以赐之。道源叹曰："人有否泰，盖亦是常。安可因己之泰，利人之否，取其子女以为仆妾，岂近仁者之心乎＃"皆舍之，一无所取。寻转太仆卿，后历相州都督。武德七年卒官，赠工部尚书，谥曰节。道源虽历职九卿，身死日，唯有粟石两，高祖深异之，赐其家帛三百段。
