张琳，沈州人。
辽史卷一百二 列传第三十二：
张琳，沈州人。幼有大志。寿隆末，为秘书中允。天祚即位，累迁户部使。顷之，擢南府宰相。初，天祚之败于女直也，意谓萧奉先不知兵，乃召琳付以东征事。琳以旧制，凡军国大计，汉人不与，辞之。上不允，琳奏曰：“前日之败，失于轻举。若用汉兵二十万分道进讨，无不克者。”上许其半，仍诏中京、上京、长春、辽西四路计户产出军。时有起至二百军者，生业荡散，民甚若之。四路军甫集，寻复遁去。及中京陷，天祚幸云中，留琳与李处温佐魏国王淳守南京。处温父子召琳，欲立淳为帝，琳曰：“王虽帝胄，初无上命；摄政则可，即真则不可。”处温曰：“今日之事，天人所与，岂可易也！”琳虽有难色，亦勉从之。淳既称帝，诸将咸居权要，琳独守太师，十日一朝，平章军国大事。阳以元老尊之，实则不使与政。琳由是郁悒而卒。
