张毅，直隶天津人。
清史稿卷四百九十六 列传二百八十三：
张毅，字仁府，直隶天津人。父梦元，官福建布政使，护台湾巡抚，以清廉著称，卒，赠太子少保。毅由荫生官部曹，改道员，分山西，奏调陕西，授甘凉道。宣统三年六月，擢安徽提法使。八月，自陇入秦，将入觐，九月，抵乾州，变作，道梗。变军侦知之，请为参谋官，斥之，撄众怒，羁留不得脱。会疾作，州人知毅贤，言於变军，乃出就医。毅念惟一死可自完，十一月初十日夜加丑，乘间投井死。毅无官守，中道遘变，卒完大节，世尤多之。
