张某，甘肃通渭人。兄弟皆贫，为木工，相友爱。将析产，兄曰：“均之。”弟曰：“弟子一，而兄之子五，如兄言，弟子则富矣！诸侄独非父母孙乎？当视人为分。”兄曰：“不可，父母先有子，未尝有孙。”议不决，乃析为三，兄二而弟一。兄弟皆逾八十，常言：“谁先死，必呼与俱去。”兄卒，弟恸几绝，不食七日，亦卒。
