元史卷一百九十七 列传第八十四：
张恭，河南偃师人。以兵部符署鹰房府案牍，亲老，辞归侍养，垦理先墓，身负水灌松柏。父丧，过哀。侍母冯氏尤谨。岁凶，恭夫妇采野菜为食，而营奉甘旨无乏。母有疾，恭手除溷秽，喂哺饮食，且尝粪以验疾势。天历初，西兵至河南，居民悉窜。恭守视母病，项中一剑，不去。母惊悸而殁，恭居丧尽礼，人称孝焉。有诏旌其闾。
