北史卷七十八 列传第六十六：
张奫，字文懿，清河东武城人也。本名犯庙讳。七代祖沈，石季龙末，自广陵六合度江家焉。仕至桂阳太守。孙朏，晋佐著作郎。坐外祖杨佺期除名，徙于南谯，因寓居之。奫好读兵书，长于骑射，尤便刀楯。父双，自清河太守免，归周。时乡人郭子冀密引陈寇，双欲率子弟击之，犹豫未决。奫赞成其谋，竟破贼，由是以勇决知名。起家州主簿。及隋文帝作相，授丞相府大都督，领乡兵。贺若弼之镇江都也，特敕奫从，因为间谍。平陈之役，颇有力焉。进位开府仪同三司，封文安县子。岁余，奫率水军破逆贼笮子游于京口、薛子建于和州。征入，拜大将军。文帝命升御坐宴之，谓曰："卿可为朕儿，朕为卿父。今日聚集，示无外也。"后赐绿沈甲、兽文具装，绮罗千匹。寻从杨素征江表，别破高智慧于会稽，吴世华于临海。进位上大将军。历抚、济二州刺史，俱有能名。开皇十八年，为行军总管，从汉王谅征辽东。谅军多物故，奫众独全，帝善之。仁寿中，卒于潭州总管，谥曰庄。子孝廉。
