清史稿卷四百九十八 列传二百八十五：
张士仁，江南昆山人。六岁，母有疾，泣祷请代，母良愈。十三从父寝，仇伏榻下，露刃出。士仁呼父未应，手捍之，指欲堕，涕泣语仇请代，仇为感动，呼其父醒，曰：“尔有此子，吾不忍杀尔。”父惶遽，良久始定，与矢天日，释怨。母丧尽礼，后母虐士仁，士仁孝敬无稍渝，后母亦感悟。火作，负父出，复入火负后母，后母抱幼子，几不胜，风反得无恙。居父及后母丧如丧母，里或忤父母，必泣劝之，悔乃已。
