崔元综，郑州新郑人。
旧唐书卷九十 列传第四十：
崔元综者，郑州新郑人也。祖君肃，武德中黄门侍郎、鸿胪卿。元综，天授中累转秋官侍郎。长寿元年，迁鸾台侍郎、同凤阁鸾台平章事。元综勤于政事，每在中书，必束带至晚，未尝休偃。好洁细行，薰辛不历口者二十余年。虽外示谨厚，而情深刻薄，每受制鞫狱，必披毛求疵，陷于重辟。以此故人多畏而鄙之。明年，犯罪配流振州，朝野莫不称庆。寻赦还，复拜监察御史。中宗时，累迁尚书左丞、蒲州刺史，以老疾致仕。晚年好摄养导引之术，年九十余卒。
