旧唐书卷一百六十三 列传第一百一十三：
元略弟元受、元式、元儒。
元受登进士第，高陵尉，直史馆。元和初，于皋谟为河北行营粮料使。元受与韦岵、薛巽、王湘等皆为皋谟判官，分督供馈。既罢兵，或以皋谟隐没赃罪，除名赐死。元受从坐，皆逐岭表，竟坎壈不达而卒。子钧、鉶、铢相继登进士第，辟诸侯府。
元式，会昌三年检校左散骑常侍、河中尹、河中晋绛观察使。四年，检校礼部尚书、太原尹、北都留守、河东节度使。六年，入为刑部尚书。宣宗朝领度支，以本官同平章事。
元儒，元和五年登进士第。
元式子锴，仕至京兆尹。
