宋史卷二百七十六 列传第三十五：
尹宪，并州晋阳人。开宝中，事太宗于藩邸。太宗即位，擢为殿直，充延州保安军使，改供奉官。太平兴国四年，护府州屯兵，与鄜州三族会攻岚州，破敌千余众，擒伪知岚州事马延忠，拔缘河诸砦。以功转西京作坊副使。入朔州界，破宁武军，杀其军使，获人马、器甲甚众。改护夏州兵，转供备库使。杀戮三｛氵義｝、丑奴庄、岌伽罗腻叶十四族，及诱其渠帅。屡降诏书褒美。雍熙初，诏就知夏州，攻破李继迁之众于地斤泽，继迁遁走，俘获四百余帐。奏请于所部抽移诸帐，别置骑兵，号曰平砦，以备其用，诏从之。俄杀芦关及南山野狸数族，诸族遂扰。代还，为洪州巡检。未几，命护莫州屯兵。
三年，诏知瀛州兼兵马钤辖，领富州刺史，迁东上阁门使。端拱二年，知沧州，移邢州，皆兼钤辖。淳化初，与王文宝并命为四方馆使，连护镇、定州屯兵。改知贝州，移高阳关兵马钤辖。五年，知定州，与兵马部署王荣不协。荣素粗暴，因忿殴宪仆地，宪怏怏致疾，数日卒，年六十三。
