宋如椿，汉军镶红旗人。
清史稿卷四百八十九 列传二百七十六：
宋如椿，汉军镶红旗人。以宝庆通判权乾州厅同知。乾隆六十年正月，黔、楚苗石柳邓、石三保等叛，厅苗响应，居民争避窜。如椿召谕之曰：“若属先人丘垄皆在，不可弃。同知地方官，当为若效死守。”皆许诺。已而贼势张甚，弃去者大半。如椿被发徒跣，周走号呼，劝之守，自旦至夕，不绝声，讫不听。贼旋攻西门，如椿仗剑出御，伤左腿，归，北向再拜自刎。从人张忠在侧，固遣之，弗去，亦被创死。方贼攻急，如椿度不能支，呼巡检江瑶佩厅印，令赴辰州求援。瑶出城，遽遇贼，死。其子朝栋挈印送辰，归，觅父尸，与家属俱遇害。
