孙枝蔚，字豹人，三原人。少遭闯贼乱，结邑里少年击贼，堕坎埳，幸不死。乃走江都，习贾，屡致千金，辄散之。既乃折节读书，僦居董相祠，高不见之节。王士祯官扬州，以诗先，遂定交，称莫逆焉。时左赞善徐乾学方激扬士类，才俊满门，枝蔚弗屑也。以布衣举鸿博，自陈衰老，乞还山，遂不应试，授内阁中书。著溉堂集，诗词多激壮之音，称其高节。
