成，字退思，以父荫累授云阳、长安尉，历监察御史，转殿中。陇右副元帅李抱玉奏充掌书记，入为屯田、司勋二员外郎。丁母丧免，终制，出为洛阳令，转长安令。时兄宿为华州刺史，因失火惊惧成喑病。成素孝悌，苍黄请急，不俟报而趋华。代宗嘉之，叹曰："急难之切，观过知仁。"历仓部郎中、京兆少尹。出为信州刺史，有惠政，郡人请立碑颂德，优诏褒美。转苏州刺史。贞元四年，改桂州刺史、桂管观察使。五年卒。
