清史稿卷四百九十 列传二百七十七：
夏銮，字鸣之，江苏上元人。以附生从九品发广西。盗匪陈亚贵滋事，銮捐赀募勇在荔浦、修仁防剿，保府经历。与汝航治水军，凡器械之属及营制，多銮手定。同复岳州，同复湘潭，历保府同知。城陵矶之役，汝航统师船进击，銮於陆路设伏互应。进剿至白螺矶芦苇中，贼众复集，銮手刃数贼，跃入水中，死之。诸生何南青同战殁，事闻，均赐恤如例。
