夏士友，湖北江夏人。
清史稿卷四百九十七 列传二百八十四：
夏士友，湖北江夏人。事母孝，佣力以养，不足，则减己食食母。邻或邀食，必先为母具食，然后往。寒，语母勿早起，自执炊置食床前，又丁宁嘱母善自护，乃出，如是以为常。年四十未娶，或愍之，助其娶妇。居半载，士友自外归，妇与姑诟于室，流涕责妇，即日出之。或曰：“出妇，如无后何？”士友曰：“有妇，欲其孝；有子孙，亦欲其孝。苟不孝，安用妇？安用子孙？”年馀，士友疾卒，母哭之恸，邻有张某感士友孝而不得终事母，月供薪米，终其身。
