新五代史卷二十一 梁臣传第九：
唐宾者，陕人也。初为尚让偏将，与太祖战尉氏门，为太祖所败，唐宾乃降梁。梁兵攻掠四方，唐宾常与珍俱，与珍威名略等，而骁勇过之，珍战每小却，唐宾佐之乃大胜。珍尝私迎其家置军中，太祖疑珍有异志，遣唐宾伺察之。珍与唐宾不协，唐宾不能忍，夜走还宣武，珍单骑追之，交诉太祖前。太祖两惜其材，为和解之。
珍屯萧县，闻太祖将至，戒军中治馆厩以待。唐宾部将严郊治厩失期，军吏督之，郊诉于唐宾，唐宾以让珍，珍怒，拔剑而起，唐宾拂衣就珍，珍即斩之，遣使者告唐宾反。使者晨至梁，敬翔恐太祖暴怒不可测，乃匿使者，至夜而见之，谓虽有所发，必须明旦，冀得少缓其事而图之。既夕，乃引珍使者入见，太祖大惊，然已夜矣，不能有所发，翔因从容为太祖画。明日，佯收唐宾妻子下狱。因如珍军，去萧一舍，珍迎谒，太祖命武士执之。诸将霍存等十余人叩头救珍，太祖大怒，举胡床掷之曰：“方珍杀唐宾时，独不救之邪！”存等退，珍遂缢死。
