旧唐书卷一百七十六 列传第一百二十六：
周墀，字德升，汝南人。祖颋，父霈。墀，长庆二年擢进士第，太和末，累迁至起居郎。墀能为古文，有史才。文宗重之，补集贤学士，转考功员外郎，仍兼起居舍人事。开成二年冬，以本官知制诰，寻召充翰林学士。三年，迁职方郎中。四年十月，正拜中书舍人，内职如故。武宗即位，出为华州刺史、镇国军潼关防御等使，改鄂州刺史、御史中丞、鄂岳观察使。会昌六年十一月，迁洪州刺史、江南西道观察使。大中初，检校礼部尚书、滑州刺史、义成军节度、郑滑观察等使、上柱国、汝南男，食邑三百户。入朝为兵部侍郎、判度支。寻以本官同平章事，累迁银青光禄大夫、中书侍郎、监修国史，兼刑部尚书。罢相，检校刑部尚书、梓州刺史、御史大夫、剑南东川节度使。未行，追制改检校右仆射，加食邑五百户。历方镇卒。
