晋书卷五十八 列传第二十八：
勰字彦和。常缄父言。时中国亡官失守之士避乱来者，多居显位，驾御吴人，吴人颇怨。勰因之欲起兵，潜结吴兴郡功曹徐馥。馥家有部曲，勰使馥矫称叔父札命以合众，豪侠乐乱者翕然附之，以讨王导、刁协为名。孙皓族人弼亦起兵于广德以应之。馥杀吴兴太守袁琇，有众数千，将奉札为主。时札以疾归家，闻而大惊，乃告乱于义兴太守孔侃。勰知札不同，不敢发兵。馥党惧，攻馥，杀之。孙弼众亦溃，宣城太守陶猷灭之。元帝以周氏奕世豪望，吴人所宗，故不穷治，抚之如旧。勰为札所责，失志归家，淫侈纵恣，每谓人曰："人生几时，但当快意耳。"终于临淮太守。
勰弟彝，少知名，元帝辟为丞相掾，早亡。
