周中鋐，浙江山阴人。
清史稿卷四百七十六 列传二百六十三：
周中鋐，字子振，浙江山阴人。康熙中为江南崇明县丞。崇明故重镇，兵籍千人，欲预取军食於官，不获，彀刃譁噪。官吏咸避匿，中鋐独挺身前，宣布顺逆利害，感切耸动，众皆投械散。擢华亭知县，民有被诬杀人久系狱，中鋐立出之，而坐其实杀人者。提标兵庇盗，前令莫敢问，中鋐捕治置诸法，境内乂安。四十三年秋，大霪雨以风，海水骤溢，漂数县。乃具衣糗棺槥救恤之，又为请赈蠲租，活民甚众。雍正四年，以催科不及格罢，县民万数遮言，上官闻於朝，得复职。
时左都御史朱轼被命修海塘，知中鋐贤，悉以事付之。塘成，丁母忧，民复籥留，中鋐先已擢松江知府，至是予假治丧，还视府事。五年，议濬淞、娄诸水，以中鋐署太仓知州，董其役。六年二月，筑坝於陈家渡，一再溃，与千总陆某昼夜冒险指挥，仓卒覆其舟，既殁而筑合。事闻，赠太仆寺少卿。
当中鋐令华亭时，奉贤犹隶境内，后析为县，中鋐適为知府，至是民怀其泽，奉以为奉贤城隍之神，岁时祈报，著灵异，长洲王芑孙为庙碑纪其事。道光七年，巡抚陶澍复濬吴淞江，疏请立庙江干。
