北齐书卷四十九 列传第四十一：
吴遵世，字季绪，渤海人，少学《易》，入恒山从隐居道士游处。数年，忽见一老翁谓之云："授君开心符。"遵世跪取吞之，遂明占候。后出游京洛，以《易》筮知名。魏武帝之将即位也，使遵世筮之，遇《明夷》之《贲》曰："初登于天，后入于地。"帝曰："何谓也？"遵世曰："初登于天，当作天子。后入于地，不得久也。"终如其言。世祖以丞相在京师居守，自致猜疑，甚怀忧惧，谋将起兵，每宿蓍令遵世筮之，遵世云："不须起动，自有大庆。"俄而赵郡王奉太后令以遗诏追世祖。及即祚，授其中书舍人，固辞疾。
