向宝，进贤人。
明史卷一百五十 列传第三十八：
宝，字克忠，进贤人。洪武中，以进士授兵部员外郎。九年无过，擢通政使，以不善奏对力辞，改应天府尹。建文时，坐事谪广西。成祖即位，召复职。已，复坐事下狱，降两浙盐运判官。仁宗在东宫，知其廉。及即位，召为右都御史兼詹事，并给两俸。寻应诏陈八事，多可采者。宣德初，改南京。三年入觐，帝悯其老，命致仕。归，卒于途。
宝有文学，宽厚爱民，而持身廉直，屡遭困厄不稍易，平居言不及利。历仕四十余年，卒之日，家具萧然。
