史次秦，眉山人。
宋史卷四百四十九 列传第二百八：
史次秦，眉山人。及进士第。吴曦叛，招次秦甚遽，次秦迁延固避，伪知大安军郭鹏飞迫之行，乃以石灰桐油涂两目，末生附子傅之，比至目益肿。次秦母年高而贤，闻次秦为曦所招，即命家人以疾笃驰报，且曰："恐病不足取信，以讣闻可也。"曦乃听还。曦诛，蜀帅上其事，改秩为利路主管文字，仕至合州太守。
有郭靖者，高桥土豪巡检也。吴曦叛，四州之民不愿臣金，弃田宅，推老稚，顺嘉陵而下。过大安军，杨震仲计口给粟，境内无馁死者。曦尽驱惊移之民使还，皆不肯行。靖时亦在遣中，至白崖关，告其弟端曰："吾家世为王民，自金人犯边，吾兄弟不能以死报国，避难入关，今为曦所逐，吾不忍弃汉衣冠，愿死于此，为赵氏鬼。"遂赴江而死。
