刘昙净，彭城莒人。
梁书卷四十七 列传第四十一 孝行：
刘昙净，字元光，彭城莒人也。祖元真，淮南太守，居郡得罪；父慧镜，历诣朝士乞哀，恳恻甚至，遂以孝闻。昙净笃行有父风。解褐安成王国左常侍。父卒于郡，昙净奔丧，不食饮者累日，绝而又苏。每哭辄呕血。服阕，因毁瘠成疾。会有诏，士姓各举四科，昙净叔父慧斐举以应孝行，高祖用为海宁令。昙净以兄未为县，因以让兄，乃除安西行参军。父亡后，事母尤淳至，身营飧粥，不以委人。母疾，衣不解带。及母亡，水浆不入口者殆一旬。母丧，权瘗药王寺。时天寒，昙净身衣单布，庐于瘗所，昼夜哭泣不绝声，哀感行路，未及期而卒。
