刘才邵，吉州庐陵人。
宋史卷四百二十二 列传第一百八十一：
刘才邵，字美中，吉州庐陵人。其上世鹗，太宗召见，未及用而卒。尝愤五季文辞卑弱，仿杨雄《法言》，著《法语》八十一篇行于世。才邵以大观二年上舍释褐，为赣、汝二州教授，复为湖北提举学事管干文字。宣和二年，中宏词科，迁司农寺丞。靖康元年，迁校书郎。
高宗即位，以亲老归侍，居闲十年。御史中丞廖刚荐之，召见，迁秘书丞，历驾部员外郎，迁吏部员外郎，典侍右选事。先是，宗室注宫观、岳庙，例须赴部，远者或难于行。才邵言许经所属以闻于部，依条注拟，行之而便。迁军器监，既而迁起居舍人，未几，为中书舍人兼权直学士院。帝称其能文，时宰忌之，出知漳州。即城东开渠十有四，为闸与斗门以潴汇决，溉田数千亩。民甚德之。两奉祠。绍兴二十五年，召拜工部侍郎兼直学士院，寻权吏部尚书。以疾请祠，加显谟阁直学士。卒，赠通奉大夫。才邵气和貌恭，方权臣用事之时，雍容逊避，以保名节。所著《檆溪居士集》行世。
