刘同缨，江西石城人。
清史稿卷三百九十八 列传一百八十五：
同缨，江西石城人。拔贡。历官盐城、泰兴、江浦、上元、六合、江宁诸县，皆有声。江宁治防，储粮练团，胥赖其力。贼初至，假向荣书请入城，同缨察其诈，却之。炮裂城，率死士御击复完。及城陷，赋绝命词，投水死，恤典加等，赠道衔，谥武烈。
