刘化源，耀州人。
宋史卷四百五十三 列传第二百一十二：
刘化源，耀州人。绍圣元年进士。建炎初，金人陷关陕，守令以城降者，金人因而命之。化源时知陇州，不肯降，城陷被执。金人使人守之，不得死，遂驱入河北，鬻蔬果、隐民间者十年，终不屈辱。
有米璞者，与化源同乡里，西人皆敬之。璞登政和二年进士第，时通判原州，刘豫欲官之，杜门谢病，卒不污伪命。
有刘长孺者，亦耀州人。时签书博州判官厅公事，与豫书，备陈祖宗德泽，劝以转祸为福。豫怒，追其官，囚之百日，长孺终不屈。豫后复官之，不从。绍兴九年，宣谕使周聿上之朝，诏赴行在，而签书枢密院事楼炤言璞苦风痹，化源、长孺老病，遂命各转两官奉祠；又言新凤翔教授阴晫守节不仕，诏特改令入官。其后金复渝盟，长孺知华阴县，不屈而死。
有李嚞者，开封人。宣和六年进士。建炎中，知彭阳县，亦不降，与民移治境上。令执之以献，金人欲官之，凡三辞。其后金人以为归附，命为儒林郎，嚞言于所司曰："昔为俘获，不敢受归附之赏。"还其牒。刘麟闻其贤，命张中孚以礼招致，嚞力拒之。绍兴九年死原州。事闻，赠奉议郎，官其家一人。
