刘体仁，字公霝，颍州人。顺治中进士。有家难，弃官从孙奇逢讲学。后官考功郎中。体仁喜作画，鉴识其精，又工鼓琴。与汪琬、王士祯友善，著七颂堂集。士祯称其诗似孟东野；又言今日善学才调集者无如元鼎，学西昆体者无如吴殳。
