宋史卷二百八十五 列传第四十四：
行己字肃之，以父任为右侍禁、泾原路驻泊都监、知宪州，因治状增秩。历石、保、霸、冀、莫五州，所至有能称。
夏人既纳款，疆候播言契丹治兵幽燕，大为战具，议者欲解西备北，行己言："辽、夏为与国，元昊入贡，容怀诡计，幽燕治兵，或为虚声，边鄙之虞，恐不在河朔也。"
皇祐中，知定州，韩琦荐为路钤辖。徙知代州，管干河东缘边安抚事。夏人掠麟州，蕃部且盗耕屈野河西田，遇官军逴逻者，辄聚射。诏行己计之。行己言："此奸民无忌惮，非君长过，不宜以细故启大衅，但加戒戢足矣。"
五台山寺调厢兵义勇缮葺，为除和籴谷三万，行己谓不可损岁入之储，以事不急之务。进西上阁门使，四迁客省使，更高阳关、秦凤、定州、大名府路马步总管，以卫州防御使致仕，预洛阳耆英之集。元祐中，终金州观察使，年八十四。
