宋史卷四百五十四 列传第二百一十三：
何时字了翁，抚州乐安人，天祥同年进士也。调庐陵尉，寻入江西转运司幕府，还临江军司理参军。郡狱相传，旧斩一寇，尸能行一里许。众神之，塐为肉身皋陶。时至，取故牍阅，此寇尝掠杀数人，曰："如此可为神乎？"命鞭之，湛于水，人服其明。改知兴国县。
天祥起兵，辟署帅府机宜、带行监文思院。天祥入卫，时任留司，分司吉州。饷运平江，天祥奏时知抚州。吉州下，时脱身归乡里。益王立，天祥开府南剑，时起兵趋兴国接引，以时带行卿监、江西提刑。时聚兵复崇仁县，未几，大军奄至，兵败，削发为僧，窜迹岭南，卖卜自给，变姓名，自号坚白道人。
又有陈子敬者，赣州人。以赀雄乡里，尝从天祥游。天祥开阃汀州，子敬募集民兵屯皂口，据赣下流。及天祥攻赣，子敬与合谋，忠效甚著。空坑兵败，复聚兵屯黄塘砦，连结山砦不降。大军以重兵袭其砦，砦溃，子敬不知所终。
