何如璋，字子峨，籍广东大埔。同治七年进士，选庶吉士，授编修。以侍读出使日本。归，授少詹事，出督船政。承鸿章旨，狃和议，敌至，犹严谕各舰毋妄动。及败，藉口押银出奔，所如勿纳，不得已，往就佩纶彭田乡。佩纶虑敌踪迹及之，绐如璋出。士论谓闽事之坏，佩纶为罪魁，如璋次之。如璋亦遣戍。后卒於家。
