任辰旦，浙江萧山人。
清史稿卷四百七十六 列传二百六十三：
辰旦，字千之，浙江萧山人。顺治十三年进士。康熙初，授上海知县。清苦自励，敏於听断，数决疑狱，豪猾敛迹。催科以时，不大用鞭朴，百姓感其仁，输纳恐后。濒海防军将撤，密请行期，故邀军主欢饮，宣言期须少缓，次日令下，促急行。乃厚其牛酒，道上劳军，军无敢迁延他顾，居民帖然。黄龙浦为吴淞江入海要口，建闸屡圮。故事，修闸必筑坝，费不赀。辰旦仿浙人为梁法，度基广狭，约丈尺伐石，识其甲乙，下之水，使善泅者厝之，悉中程。复广左右护堤，约水就道，十阅月而工成。不病役，不糜帑，邑人颂之。县田没水者六千亩，赋额未除，输者率破家。前令屡勘虚实贸乱，至是巡抚慕天颜疏请复勘。辰旦喜曰：“是吾志也。”日往来泥沙中，按旧册履丈，釐其荒者，阅二月，费皆自办，俸不足，出银钏棉布偿之。籍上，得减除额徵有差。十八年，举博学鸿儒，放还故官。复以良吏荐，入为给事中，论事切直，改大理寺丞。母忧归。旋以前廷推事诖误落职，卒於家。
