任兰枝，字香谷，江苏溧阳人。康熙五十二年一甲二名进士，授编修。雍正元年，命直南书房。累迁内阁学士。五年，与安南定界，偕左副都御史杭奕禄赍诏宣谕，语详杭奕禄传。使还，迁兵部侍郎。命如江西按南昌总兵陈玉章侵饷。调吏部。高宗即位，命充世宗实录总裁。擢礼部尚书，历户、兵、工部，复调礼部。十年，以老致仕。十一年，卒。
